Calling Department of Film and Media Production students!
This week, IlluminateBath put out a call for ideas and participation responding to the festival theme of ‘Kinetic Energy and Light’. The Department of Film and Media Production is offering to help students get together to explore ideas and put together a proposal.
Have an idea and unsure how to develop it into a proposal?
Have an idea and would like the involvement of others to explore it and make it possible?
Not sure of an idea, but would like to be involved?
If this sounds like you, please get in contact. We can see what can be done to help you share ideas and explore the possibilities and practicalities of proposals.
Contact Dr Dan Ashton by Tuesday 18th May
IlluminateBath information
IlluminateBath is a new festival that will run for two weeks from 1 - 13 November 2010. BSU students and staff are organising IlluminateBath and the festival will also feature their creative work. It’s being funded by RELAYS, which is a Cultural Olympiad project to engage young people with sport and culture in the run up to London 2012.
This is your chance to participate by proposing ideas. Possible work will be:
Dance, sculpture, film, music, animation, stories, poetry, projections, clothing, installations, plays, location based games, 3D design, interventions, shows (of specific work), mass participation events, VJing, painting, printing.
The brief is to create a response to the festival’s theme of Kinetic Energy and Light. We will be projecting on buildings in a variety of locations throughout Bath (when given permission) and we also intend to show installation/ intervention work in shop windows and outdoor locations. A range of events are being planned including talks, guided tours and workshops. We are organising locations for performances to take place (e.g. Green Park Station, Southgate shopping centre). The festival is a chance to get your work shown to a mass audience!
